Focus mode
Focus keeps the section you are reading bright and greys out the rest of the page. Super focus adds a second, brighter spot on the part of the section you are reading. In either, ↓ and ↑ move to the next or previous section (or part, in Super focus).
How grey and dim Focus makes the sections outside the bright one. Moving it turns Focus on.
Color vision
For red-green color blindness: deutan (green-weak) is the most common kind, protan (red-weak) the next. Charts, highlights and warnings move to blues, oranges and purples that stay apart, with a cue beyond color. Photos never change. Applies to the blog and the service pages.

Cabinet refinishing that’s meant to last.
Painted cabinets wear first at the edges and around the pulls. We take the doors off and spray them off-site, where the finish goes on smooth and dries clean. For homes in Palo Alto, Atherton, Menlo Park, Los Altos Hills, Portola Valley and Woodside.

A factory-smooth finish on the cabinets you already have.
Kitchen cabinets get grease, steam and hands on them all day. Paint brushed over that without a full degreasing and sanding starts to chip at the edges. Ours are cleaned, sanded and primed first, then finished in a coating made for a kitchen.

What we refinish.
Kitchen Cabinet Refreshing
Doors, drawer fronts and the cabinet boxes. The boxes are cleaned, sanded and painted in place, and the doors go off-site to be sprayed.
Bathroom Vanity Refreshing
A vanity sits in steam and splashes every day, and the finish on it has to stand up to that.
Fine Finish Millwork
Built-ins, shelving, paneling, trim and architectural millwork, refinished to the same standard.

We help you choose a color from samples held up in your own kitchen.

Surface Restoration & Repair
Dings, water damage and lifting veneer are repaired first. A sprayed finish shows every flaw left under it.

Doors go back on with their hinges adjusted, soft-close hardware set and the gaps lined up.
04Our Process
Four phases of refinishing.
Step 1 of 4: Color Consultation

Sample boards in your kitchen, painted in the actual product we’ll use, under your own lights.

We take the doors off, label each one and take them away. The boxes are prepped in place, with EPA Lead-Safe protocols where the house needs them.

The doors are sprayed off-site with HVLP equipment, in a two-pack conversion varnish for hard wear or FPE Aquanamel for depth of color.

Doors and drawer fronts go back on and get adjusted. Then we go through the kitchen with you.
